ST. SAVA SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS

• On Saturday, March 4th, 11 of our Sunday School children (7 to 13 year old group) participated in a Bible Bowl
competition at St. Sava, followed by a sleep-over party. Students were organized into 3 teams and answered questions
from Bible texts and lessons that have been taught throughout the year (a study sheet was provided). It was a close
competition, but in the end, the team of Adam Moro, Milena Stancic and Mark Bouchakian won first place.
After the Bible Bowl, the children were treated to pizza, snacks, games, prizes, movies and even ice cream sundaes
at midnight in the Church kitchen. A highlight was the hunt for candy-filled eggs in the dark Church Hall with
flashlights.
Special thanks go to Mira Babic, Bonnie Moro, Mila Mladenovich and Kokka Bouchakian for spending the
night with us. Most of all, thank you to the 11 children who participated in this event. You were all
enthusiastic and so well-behaved; I definitely want to do this again!
• I would also like to announce that we hope for the return of our singing teacher, Milica Stefanovic,
by early May. Unfortunately, she is currently on medical leave; we wish her a speedy recovery!

St. Sava Kolo News
On St. Sava Sunday, the Teen Kolo Group performed for all the assembled guests. The newcomers to the group, Katrina Brkic and Jennifer Jugovic, did an outstanding job. We want to congratulate and thank the whole group for helping to make this important annual event so special. |
